On Saturday, July 11, 2020, the 3rd Annual "Spice Island Cultural Day" will be held at the Vinet Park in Little Burgundy, Montreal.
The Spice Island Cultural Day enables the City of Montreal to showcase its diversity and provide an opportunity for citizens of all backgrounds and walks of life to share with us in celebrating the spirit and captivating culture of the Caribbean community. The festival is opened to all. It also educates Youth from ages 16 to 25 who act as volunteers for the event to influence decisions and implement change within the community. Involvement in this activity encourages and promotes civic responsibility in order for the youth to become better members of society. One of the main objectives of the Spice Island Day is to engage marginalized and disenfranchised youth in arts and culture, this is the reason we have partnered with Youth in Motion Organization in Little Burgundy and the Cote des Neiges Black Community Association Leadership Program to join with them in encouraging and educating our Black Youth to be better citizens and inspire in them self confidence and motivational skills. On Saturday, July 11, 2020, the 3rd Annual "Spice Island Cultural Day" will be held at the Vinet Park in Little Burgundy, Montreal.
