LET’S CELEBRATE GRENADA’S 48TH INDEPENDENCE

On Monday, February 7, at 7pm, the Spice Island Cultural Day Association of Quebec (SICDAQ) is inviting all Grenadians and friends of Grenada to join in their celebration to mark the 48th Anniversary of Grenada’s Independence. Due to the pandemic this Independence celebration will be held virtually for the second year on the Spice Island Cultural Festival YouTube Channel and Facebook page.

Performances by King Ajamu, direct from Grenada; Calypsonian Doggies, who also wears the hat of the President of the Organization; Jenny Noel, singer/composer, along with her daughter Jenna; Grenada’s young songbird Elliya Young; the Montreal Spice Island Kids and more.

This celebration will be held under the distinguished patronage of the Honorary Consul for Grenada in Montreal, Mr. Theodore H. Blaize, under this year’s theme “Overcoming our adversity, safeguarding livelihoods, protecting our future”.
