Introducing the 2022 Spice Island Cultural Festival Theme, “GRENADA-LICIOUS”

Presented by the Spice Island Cultural Day Association of Quebec

Montreal, Quebec, January 2022 — The Spice Island Cultural Day Association of Quebec (SICDAQ) is proud to announce the theme “GRENADA-LICIOUS” for the upcoming 5th annual Spice Island Cultural Festival. This year’s theme will pay tribute to Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique’s culinary aspect, following Grenada being named in 2021 as the World’s First Culinary Capital by the World Food Travel Association (WFTA).

Get your taste buds ready for a weekend of spice and culinary delight happening from July 8 – 10, 2022. After a long virtual hiatus and with much anticipation, we are excited to be holding the Festival live outdoors, while also live-streaming on YouTube and Facebook, at Vinet Park in downtown Montreal on July 9, 2022.

What makes the 5th annual Festival even more exceptional, the Grenada Tourism Authority and the Grenada Culinary Network have committed to send top Executive Chefs from Grenada to participate with Grenadian Chefs in North America, coupled with entertainers, musicians and other artists to make this festival the biggest Grenadian Culinary Festival ever seen in Canada. Experience a world class culinary event in the heart of Montréal with the best talent from both the World’s First Culinary Capital, Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique and Montreal, one of the top two ranking culinary cities in Canada.

After a very successful 2021 virtual festival, which saw over 140,000 Grenadians and other nationals viewing and enjoying from all over the world, we are eagerly looking forward to the turnout from the upcoming 5th annual festival which will be a hybrid of virtual, live and tasty. Come experience the rich culture of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique at the 5th annual Spice Island Festival “GRENADA-LICIOUS” July 8 – 10, 2022! Devine, Delighted, Delectable, Delicious!
